According to Glasgow Live, Celtic-owned striker Kris Commons is the subject of many clubs’ interest. Commons, deemed surplus to requirements, is currently on an emergency month-long loan with Scottish Championship club Hibernian.
Hibs are said to be eager to sign Commons for longer than that, and Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to stand in their way as he has Moussa Dembele and Lee Griffiths among others up front.
However, the story gets much more difficult when you throw in interest from clubs in the English League Championship and MLS. With teams in both leagues interested, this could lead to a bidding war of sorts.
Expect Commons to be leaving Celtic shortly, but to where is a big question mark. He’d do well in America, one would think, with his experience and ability. You can see why he’s being targeted. For once, Celtic will be glad that there are rumors swirling about this striker as opposed to another!
