According to English media sources (Standard), Mauricio Pochettino’s men are keen on bringing England international, Ross Barkley, to the White Hart Lane in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old is reportedly unhappy with the state of things at Everton under Ronald Koeman with the Dutchman not very appreciative of the midfielder’s quality. This factor, combined with the quality Tottenham see in him, make it more probable that a move is on the cards.
And although he gave a good account of his self during the recent 2-1 win over Arsenal, it is becoming clear that Barkley is unlikely to extend his contract at Goodison Park and will eventually leave once his contract runs out by the end of next season.
Moreover, the Toffees are not looking to let go of the player on a free so would be very much open to the idea of letting him leave this January if the London giants can come up with a good offer.
