Chelsea are off to a flying start in the Premier League under Conte. The intensity has already embarked the emergence of a hopeful Conte era at Chelsea. West Ham were a little trouble to Chelsea, but Chelsea found it difficult to break them down as well.
The 2-1 win over West Ham saw Chelsea playing with intensity as if they were out on the pitch to prove themselves. Chelsea controlled the game most of the time, but lacked the finishing in final three of theirs. Eden Hazard scored the opener from the penalty spot for the Blues and Diego Costa finished it off with a superb strike to clinch the game in the final minutes.
“I’m delighted with the performance because I saw a lot of good things. There was great intensity and possession. We know we can improve through our work but tonight it was very important to start with a victory against a strong side like West Ham,” said Conte.
The new boss was very happy with the way his team played over 90 minutes and came out with a win much needed to start the new season positively.
