According to a report from the Metro, Riyad Mahrez has reportedly agreed to a contract with Arsenal. Now Leicester City and Arsenal will need to agree on a transfer fee in order to make Mahrez a Gunner.
The report also states that the contract between Mahrez and Arsenal has been agreed on for some time now and a £40 million deal could go through within the next couple of days.
For what it’s worth, Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has been trying to convince Mahrez to stay with the English Premier League champions.
Mahrez would be an incredible addition for the Gunners, as he was one of the best players in the Premier League last season. In fact, according to the whoscored.com rating system, Mahrez was the best all around player in the entire EPL last year.
We will have to wait and see if the reports of Mahrez to Arsenal are accurate, but there at least seems to be a relatively good chance that the Leicester star will end up in north London.
