Juventus are reportedly one of the clubs that may be interested in Manchester United winger Memphis Depay, according to Goal and Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
The 22-year-old had a forgettable year with the Old Trafford outfit, but the Dutchman has immense talent and it appears that his fractured relationship with United has put others on notice.
Prior to his United move, Memphis had a breakthrough year with the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven where he scored an impressive 22 goals during his stay in Holland.
Memphis’ play took a nosedive from his elite form while in Holland and the winger only managed 2 league goals while making 16 league appearances under former manager Louis van Gaal.
Jose Mourinho’s arrival could very well signal the end of Depay’s career at Old Trafford as his play, lack of desire, and behavior may be too much baggage for the Portuguese manager to handle.
The 53-year-old manager recently upgraded his right wing with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and is said to be keeping an eye on Germany’s Julian Draxler for the left wing.
The possible move to Juventus for Depay would give him a fresh start in a new league and could potentially be a bargaining chip in United’s ongoing pursuit of their former midfielder Paul Pogba.
