Hiddink Reveals He Will Remain At Chelsea

It was a satisfactory draw at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea, as the game finished 1-1. Also, it was an emotional evening for Guus Hiddink, as he featured in his last match since his appointment mid-season. ‘I didn’t feel tears going over my cheeks but of course it’s always emotional,’ Hiddink said after the game against Leicester.

Hiddink admitted that the farewell is not as emotional for him as he expected, because he will be looking after Chelsea’s Academy Players and helping them grow. Hiddink, in his acts, has shown the love and respect he has for Chelsea in his heart. From giving opportunities to Chelsea’s youngsters to helping academy players, he has proved why the Club will always be close to his heart.

‘It’s not that dramatic as I think I will be back every now and then, not in the limelight, just hidden a bit, to help out with the academy boys etc, so I won’t say a dramatic crying goodbye as after the summer I will be back every now and again.’

Hiddink bids goodbye to the Stamford Bridge after completion of the task assigned to him; to drag Chelsea out of the near-relegation spots and facing embarrassment. He brought the much needed stability at the Club, held players together in a difficult situation and got the max out of them.
