Hiddink spoke ahead of the match against Bournemouth, giving an update on the list of injured players and possible returnees. The big news for Chelsea is that Eden Hazard will be making a comeback, but John Terry, Loic Remy and Kurt Zouma are set to miss the clash.
Hazard picked up an injury in the second leg against PSG in the Champions League on 9th March. He has recovered from it, and Hiddink has confirmed that he will travel with the team. Although he isn’t available to play the whole game, said the Dutchman.
Whereas John Terry will travel with the team but won’t be available to play. Kurt Zouma is out of action for this season, confirmed the Blues’ boss. Loic Remy, who sustained an injury in the win over Aston Villa also remains unavailable.
The return of Hazard is a huge boost for Hiddink and his side. Despite his poor run of form this season, fans and the coach look upon him in every match.
Terry’s return is possible against Tottenham next week, “If we play on Monday week he has to be training with the group by Thursday”, said Hiddink while mentioning the condition for John Terry to play in the match.
