Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the 20-year old Chelsea midfielder, is on a path to impress the footballing world. With each performance, he is proving why he is ready for Premier League action. Despite suffering a 1-0 loss at Liberty Stadium, Chelsea needs to note the positives which will be helpful for them next season.
Loftus-Cheek was the only player who appeared confident on the pitch for Chelsea against Swansea. The youngster showed strength on the ball and wasn’t afraid to tackle while defending. He took the game to Swansea in the first half when his team missed their chances and shirked defensive responsibility.
Even though Loftus-Cheek has a long career ahead of him, the youngster is well capable of filling in the spot which Chelsea has been missing since Frank Lampard’s departure. Loftus-Cheek has shown reliability and responsibility in his game. In his last interview he made it clear that he will be looking forward to impress the new manager, Antonio Conte, who will be taking over after EURO 2016.
