In what proved to be a roller coaster ride at the Upton Park, both Arsenal and West Ham United had to share the spoils. From the Gunners going 2-0 up to West Ham scoring 3 in the reply, it was a Laurent Koscielny goal which decided the outcome of this game.

Here are 3 things we learned …

3It’s the first time since 1987 that West Ham have scored 3 against Arsenal

Even though West Ham have failed to beat Arsenal since a decade on their home soil, Dimitri Payet and co have certainly shown today how far have they come under the management of Slaven Bilic. Against a ruthless Arsenal side which scored 4 past Watford last week, the Hammers showed no fear and bolted the net at regular occasions.

Even after going 2 nil down, it was West Ham’s resilient attitude which got them back in the game from a pretty bleak situation. So now when they are shifting into a new stadium at the end of this season, West Ham have certainly got the attitude, the desire and the firepower to stun the Premier League giants.

2He might not agree, but the title race is long gone from Arsene Wenger and Arsenal

Even though Arsene Wenger still thinks that Arsenal have what it takes to beat Leicester for the Premier League trophy, today’s draw have surely ended any such hopes, as far as the Arsenal fan base is concerned. Currently 10 points adrift from the top placed Leicester having 6 games to go, it would take no less than a miracle if Arsenal are to lift the Premier League trophy this season.

1More of the same from Arsenal

Just when Arsenal fans started to expect something different from their team, Arsenal showed why exactly they haven’t won the Premier League title for a decade. Lack of consistency, the absence of leadership on the pitch and poor decision making of Arsene Wenger are just some of the many things that are wrong with Arsenal football club.
