Mexican star striker, Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez has had an unbelievable first season in Germany’s Bundesliga where he has been his team’s top scorer, and most popular player. The Bayer Leverkusen star was named the ‘Bundesliga Player of Week 28’ after being substituted into the 3-0 win against Wolfsburg in the 61st minute, and having enough time to score a beautiful goal from outside the box, plus adding an assist.
This Sunday, April 10, 2016 Bayer Leverkusen will visit FC Koln (Cologne) at the RheinEnergieStadion in what will undoubtedly will be a difficult match for Roger Schmidt’s side. Leverkusen has won their last 3 Bundesliga matches which has allowed them to rise into 4th of the standings and close to a Champions League seed. With a win against Koln, a loss by Hertha Berlin, and a tie or loss by Borussia Moenchengladbach, Leverkusen can move into 3rd place.
Chicharito will most likely be a starter this Sunday, and he will have a good opportunity to maintain his good form in order to allow his team to remain in the fight for a Champions League seed.
