The Copa MX TV Schedule for the Quarterfinals being held on September 25 and 26. The Copa MX group stage has ended and we now have the quarterfinals. Liga MX teams did pretty bad, only four teams were able to move on to the knockout stages. All of Mexico’s “big teams” playing in the competition were eliminated: Pumas, Club America and Cruz Azul (Chivas is playing the CONCACAF Champions League instead).
These are the rules for the Copa MX quarter finals:
- Only one match is played, winner goes on to the semi-finals
- If game is tied at end of regulation time, game is decided by penalty kicks
- Ascenso MX teams get to play at home if playing against Liga MX teams
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

8:00 PM — Necaxa vs Toluca, Univision Deportes

The first two Wednesday games have not yet been confirmed on any network. It is likely that they will be shown on Univision’s channels, but they have been terrible at updating their schedules. Will update as soon as I get confirmation.
