With Van Gaal becoming Moyes’ successor, Manchester United will change dramatically. After the obvious change in tactics and the approach to the style of play, Manchester United will also start thinking of whom to offload.
Van Gaal started United’s clearance with Ferdinand and Vidic leaving, Evra joining Juventus and long term flop Bebe joining Benfica. Van Gaal will look at his remaining options and see who he can offload next.
Chicharito (Striker)
The Old Trafford favorite, also known as the “Super Sub”, looks to be on his way out. Under Sir Alex Ferguson, Chicharito played a special role. He was compared to United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and was tipped to achieve the same or even overcome the legend.
However, after Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement and the appointment of David Moyes, things have changed for the Mexican international. He played very few games and rumor’s started surrounding him over his future at the club.
Under Van Gaal, he was promised a chance, yet it is obvious that Van Persie is the coach’s favorite, plus having Rooney and the more physical Danny Welbeck, limits his chances of becoming a starter.
Furthermore, under the tactical changes that United are going through, it doesn’t make much sense for Javier Hernandez to be a starter.
United will look to offload the Little Pea, and get a good deal. Thus, this will help United invest more into the players that suit the Dutch coach’s ambitions and go well with his planned tactical changes.
