Probable Manchester United XI vs Chelsea – Two Stars Still Out

The manager has been away this week trying his best to secure new talent, upon returning he will have found the current squad in much the same state as he left it, minus Anderson of course.

Rooney and Van Persie are still out, Phil Jones looks unlikely to be fully fit and Ashley Young, Ferdinand and Nani are all struggling to be fit. Fabio has one game left of his suspension.

This means that the team at the moment is more or less picking itself and with 6 wins in 7 in the league, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t. They’re not exactly setting the world on fire, but nonetheless, with the exception of a strange defeat at the hands of Tottenham, they have been picking up results, especially away from home.

The one question mark is whether United match up against Chelsea with 3 in central midfield or whether they let Kagawa play just behind Welbeck. This would leave Fletcher and Carrick to deal with the powerful trio of Willian, Obi Mikel and Ramires (although to be fair it could be Essien, Luiz or any number of combinations).

Either way it is likely to be either Kagawa or Tom Cleverley to join Fletcher and Carrick in the middle of the park. This is the key area and will definitely dictate who the winner (if there is one), is going to be.

Moyes will have to try to win the game you would think, and so Kagawa seems like the obvious choice. He will be hoping that Jannuzaj can get at Ivanovic and play with the kind of fearless attitude that he has exhibited thus far.
