This week in Liga MX, fans were rewarded with some high-quality goals in high-intensity matches. One of these came in the form of a scissor kick by Tigres‘ Frenchman Andre-Pierre Gignac.

In the Chivas Guadalajara vs Tigres Clausura 2022 match, the visiting side from Nuevo Leon dominated the match and was leading by 1-0 in the 44th minute. After a nice cross from the left side, Vignon made a wobbly header with the ball which floated slowly right near the penalty mark.

Gignac quickly realized he had to make a quick decision to approach the ball and he did so in a talented fashion. The best and only way to kick the ball was with a powerful scissor kick. Chivas keeper Raul Gudiño had nothing much to do other than stand in place and see his opponent’s celebration.

With this goal, Tigres made the game 2-0 right before halftime. Chivas was unable to match the score and the game ended in a 3-1 win for the felinos.
