Leon is coming off a dominant 4-0 win against Queretaro and is more than likely to repeat the starting lineup that was able to obtain that result. Los Esmeraldas will still be missing star midfielder Rubens Sambueza for this match, but the attack faired quite well last week with Jose Macias, who scored two goals past Los Gallos Blancos.

Cruz Azul currently has a plethora of injuries including to defenders Pablo Aguilar and Adrian Aldrete, which should severely impact this clash against Leon. It will be interesting to see how Pedro Caixinha sets up his backline and if the makeshift defense will be able to handle Leon’s rising offense.
