The Metro have broadcasted the news from The Independent regarding a potential move of Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente to the ranks of the Premier League champions Chelsea during the January transfer window.
According to the same reports, ‘Blues’ manager Antonio Conte is a big admirer of the tall Spanish forward and was looking to bring him to Stamford Bridge last summer, but Mauricio Pochettino ruined his plans on the last day of the transfer window.
The 32-year-old striker arrived at North London from Swansea as a backup option for Harry Kane, collecting only thirteen appearances in Premier League, mainly as a substitute.
Conte is determined to sign another forward to give Alvaro Morata some breathing space, and Llorente is the player that fits the profile.
However, the former Juventus player has recently stressed his desire to stay with Spurs despite the lack of playing time. Also, Pochettino will hardly renounce his services, as he has no other alternative for Kane.
