Tottenham key figure reportedly wanted by giants

Pochettino

According to reports, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is one of the men who could possibly succeed Zinedine Zidane as manager of Real Madrid next season.

The Spanish giants are hoping to recruit German world-cup winning coach Joachim Low but it is unlikely that he will be willing to leave Germany at least till after the world cup.

Sport has claimed that Pochettino who has done an impressive job as manager of Spurs is Madrid’s back-up option.

Since taking over Spurs, Pochettino has transformed the club from a modest outfit to one that can challenge for major trophies and he has since also become one of the most respected managers in world football.

Zidane’s future at Madrid is uncertain after the club have been playing an underwhelming brand of football this season and are already 16 points behind Barcelona in the La Liga standings.

They also played out to a disappointing draw against Numancia in the Copa Del Rey on Wednesday.
