Tottenham reportedly handed boost in hopes of signing Portuguese international

Tottenham have been handed a transfer boost as target Andre Gomes could now be open to leaving Barcelona following the arrival of Philippe Coutinho at the Camp Nou.

The 24-year-old has only started two games in the La Liga this season and he is concerned that he could lose his place in the Portugal national team if he continues to struggle for game time.

Gomes is now keen to leave the Spanish giants amid interest from Juventus and Spurs. Spurs were linked with Gomes last summer and could now revive their interest especially after target Ross Barkley ended up joining Chelsea.

Since arriving at Barcelona from Valencia in 2016, Gomes has gone on to play more than 60 games for the club.

It is unlikely that the club will not allow him to leave should they receive  a decent offer this month especially following the arrival of Coutinho.
