According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham is ready to make Harry Kane the highest English player to prevent him from leaving for Real Madrid.
Kane, arguably one of the best strikers in the world, is having a remarkable season at the moment and he is the league’ top scorer with eighteen goals.
The outstanding performances drew the attention from one of the biggest clubs in the world, with Real Madrid seriously considering breaking the record to bring the player to Santiago Bernabeu.
Mauricio Pochettino, on the other hand, would do everything in his power to keep Kane at North London, and the club’s representatives are looking to raise Kane’ salary from £110,000-a-week to £200,000-a-week, which would make him the highest paid English footballer ahead of Raheem Sterling.
Los Blancos have yet to make a move for the 24-year-old center-forward, but the London side will not take any chances and want to secure the player before that.
