As per TMW, Tottenham have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of AC Milan midfielder and long-term target Marcelo Brozovic.
The Serie A giants badly need to balance the books and are said to be willing to let the 25-year-old Croatia international go for £12million.
Spurs have tried to land Brozovic in the past, but Milan’s earlier £30million stance had rebuffed their various quiet attempts.
After a poor start to this season’s domestic campaign, the club’s lack of quality options in midfield has been well-exposed, with Victor Wanyama’s and Mousa Dembele’s injuries dealing heavy blows.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino could do with another top player in deep midfield, and the box-to-box versatile Croatian represents a perfect option.
Brozovic has been involved in 14 Serie A games this term for Inter, scoring 3 and assisting a goal having been made to play in an attacking midfield position.
Given Dembele’s struggles of recent, the former Dinamo Zagreb star could be a perfect signing midway through the campaign as Spurs look to finish strong across all competitions.
