Harry Kane made history on Boxing Day as he scored a hat-trick to lead Spurs to a 5-2 win against Southampton and in the process he also broke Alan Shearer’s record for most goals in the Premier League during a calendar year.
He ended the year with 56 goals for club and country and on a more impressive note, he also finishes off with more goals in 2017 than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kane is now one of the World’s best and nobody can deny that. One thing which he does lack however is titles and Cups.
Though Spurs have improved under the management of Mauricio Pochettino, trophies are something which has eluded them throughout the years and the last time that they won a major trophy was in 2008 when they claimed the League Cup.
Spurs have a talented group of players but if they wish to keep them as well as Kane, trophies are something which they will need to win.
