Jermaine Jenas has named Davinson Sanchez as the unsung hero in the Premier League this season.
“21 years of age, first season in the Premier League. I think he has had an unbelievable first half of the season. Doesn’t get any recognition for it and goes about his job the right way,” Jenas told BT Sport Score, as cited by his official Twitter account.
Jenas arrived at Spurs from Dutch giants Ajax during the summer transfer period for a fee of £42 million and has quickly adapted to life in England, making 22 appearances in all competitions for Spurs and scoring one goal in the process.
The ball-playing centre back is definitely one of the best young talents in the Premier League and he is in the perfect place to improve his game under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino.
Nonetheless, many fans will certainly be surprised that Heung Son-Min was not named by Jenas as an unsung hero as the South Korean has chipped in with some key goals recently.
