According to a report published by the Daily Mail, West Ham are keen on signing Swansea midfielder Ki Sung-yueng as well as his team-mate Alfie Mawson.
The Hammers have been on a run of encouraging form recently, defeating Chelsea and earning a hard-fought draw against Arsenal.
They however suffered a blow this weekend by losing against struggling Newcastle.
David Moyes will likely look to bolster his side in January in order to bolster their chances of Premier League survival.
A new quality midfielder will be a good addition considering that Mark Noble, Pedro Obiang and CheikhouKouyate have all been inconsistent.
It now appears that the Hammers are interested in recruiting Ki who has only been used sparingly this season.
However it remains to be seen if the Swans will be willing to sell to a Premier League rival as they themselves face a battle against relegation this season.
