Michael Owen has predicted that Tottenham will defeat Burnley in the Premier League this weekend.
Spurs have been underwhelming during recent times and suffered a 4-1 defeat against Manchester City during the weekend.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are already out of the Premier League title race this season and could face a battle just to finish off in the top four as they are currently languishing in seventh position on the League standings.
Burnley meanwhile have been one of the surprise packages this season and are currently ahead of Spurs on the League standings. Despite this, Owen feels that Spurs will prevail on the day.
“Few would have thought at the start of the season that Burnley would be ahead of Spurs in the table going in to the busy Festive period,” Owen wrote in his column for Bet Victor.
“The Clarets have been a revelation so far this term and have kept six clean sheets in their last eight home PL games, but I think Spurs can end a run of five games on their PL travels without a win.”
