Tottenham may find it hard to hold on to star midfielder Dele Alli beyond next summer, with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona said to be keen on the Englishman.
Spurs’ average wage system are also another reason they could lose one or two of their stars at the end of the campaign, and it seems they might have identified a successor to Alli.
Alongside Manchester United and Arsenal, the LilyWhites are keen on £20million-rated Hoffenheim central midfielder Nadiem Amiri ahead of next month’s transfer window.
The Germany under-21 international caught the eyes during the summer European Championships, helping his side to dump out England in the semis and overcome Spain in the final.
Amiri has continued to prove his worth on club level, scoring 4 goals and assisting another 2 in 18 games across all competitions this term.
The 21-year-old is as versatile as Alli, as he’s also able to play across the forwardline and in attacking midfield.
Amiri is one of the reasons the 8th-placed Hoffenheim are pushing for the Europa League spot, and given his potential, settling down at Tottenham shouldn’t take him time.
Could he turn out to be Alli’s replacement in the eventuality the Spurs star leave?
