West Ham boss Moyes admits he was interested in signing Arsenal man

Speaking ahead of his side’s game against Arsenal on Wednesday night, West Ham manager David Moyes admitted that he tried to sign Aaron Ramsey whilst he was managing Everton.

Moyes revealed that he tried to sign Ramsey whilst he was on the books of Cardiff before the player instead ended up joining the Gunners.

During his nine seasons with Arsenal, Ramsey has gone on to establish himself as a key player within the side and his most successful season came in 2013/14 which saw him scoring 16 goals in all competitions as well as the winner in the FA Cup final.

“I really like Ramsey, tried to sign him at Everton before he went to Arsenal and he has turned out to be terrific,” said Moyes, as quoted by football.london.

Moyes meanwhile will be aiming to help the Hammers avoid relegation this season. They have been impressive during their past two games against Manchester City and Chelsea and this is something which they can take heart from.
