Tottenham target opens up possibility of leaving current club

Tottenham target Geoffrey Kondogbia has indicated that he is open to the possibility of leaving Valencia.

Kondogbia said, “In football you never know. I’m fine and comfortable here. The coach and teammates help me. I’m happy, but I have to focus on my job to do my best for Valencia. We’ll see what happens next.”

The France international is on loan at the Spanish club this season from Inter Milan and has been linked with a transfer to Spurs.

As Kondogbia’s performances have been solid so far, Valencia are naturally hoping to sign him permanently at the end of the season, however they could be outdone by Spurs who have a superior financial budget.

Kondogbia has been viewed as a possible long-term replacement for MousaDembele at Spurs who at 30, appears to have past his prime.

Spurs should have a good chance of signing Kondogbia though a failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League could hamper their chances.
