Tottenham remain shrewd when it comes to splashing the cash during the transfer widows, with only 5 signings made during the summer.
Following 4 losses in their opening 16 games of the Premier League campaign, however, Spurs are effectively out of the title race and now left to battle for a top 4 finish.
Hence, the below-par season has been a huge concern for fans who expect reinforcements when the winter transfer window opens.
It’s almost somewhat impossible seeing the north London giants buy top players in January, though, but the timely return of Victor Wanyama to fitness could serve as a new signing.

The Kenyan powerhouse has been out of action since picking up a knee injury during the 2-1 loss to Chelsea on matchday 2 in August, but he’s now back in training.
While it’s too early for Wanyama to return for weekend’s action against Manchester City – a game that could go a long way in defining the club’s fate for the campaign – having him back on his feet is a welcome development.
The 26-year-old midfielder missed just 2 league games last term, and his absence has taken its toll on the club this season, with Tottenham missing his great influence in the middle of the park.
However, Wanyama’s return could pass for a new signing ahead of the January window as he is set to be back in full action towards the end of the month.
