Cascarino states that this proves why Bilic needed to be sacked

Tony Cascarino has said that Marko Arnautovic is showing why exactly West Ham sacked former manager Slaven Bilic.

The Austrian international arrived from Stoke City during the summer transfer window. He initially failed to impress at the London Stadium and rumours even began to circulate suggesting that the Hammers will look to offload him in the near future.

However since the departure of Bilic, Arnautovic looks to have stepped up his game. He scored the only goal of the game on Saturday as the Hammers recording a shock morale-boosting victory against Chelsea.

Cascarino believes that Arnautovic’s poor performances from earlier in the season are indicative of Bilic’s mismanagement.

“Marko Arnautovic has shown why SlavenBilic was sacked by West Ham,” Cascarino said. “Their £25m record signing looks a different player under David Moyes.

“West Ham aren’t blessed with stars and if you can’t get them to shine you won’t last.”
