Real Madrid reportedly keen on a swoop for 30-year-old Tottenham man

Hugo Lloris

According to reports, Spanish giants Real Madrid could swoop for Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris at the end of the season if they fail to win a trophy.

Madrid have been long-linked with Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea in the past, however Lloris will cost around £25 million and will be much cheaper than the United shot-stopper.

At 30, Lloris also has a good couple of more years left in him. Lloris joined Spurs in 2012 and despite being consistent with his performances, he has yet to win a major trophy with the club and this means that moving to Madrid could prove to be an enticing option.

Ironically after his side defeated Madrid in the Champions League this season, Lloris revealed that he felt that he was correct in denying contract offers from other clubs to remain with Spurs.

Whether the Frenchman remains with Mauricio Pochettino’s side could also depend on how they perform this season.
