Tottenham star Dele Alli makes a worrying admission

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has admitted that his side’s current League form is simply not good enough.

The North London form extended their current run of frustrating form in the top flight by falling to a 2-1 defeat against Leicester City on Tuesday. Goals from Jamie Vardy and Riyadh Mahrez were sufficient to give the Foxes victory on the night.

Spurs did create the better chances during the game and managed to pull one back through Harry Kane, however they could not find an equalizer.

Following the game, Alli said, “It was a very disappointing performance from us in the first half. We should never have been in the situation where we were two goals behind. It was not good enough.

“We can’t focus on that. After performances like this we have to keep picking up points. To lose to Leicester away is disappointing but we have to pick ourselves up.

“We have to keep performing. It is a long season and we just have to keep picking up points.”

Spurs are now already virtually out of the title race this season with Manchester City dominating at the top of the standings and they have now picked up just one point from their last three League fixtures.
