Tim Sherwood has said that he would have been more than happy to stick around at Tottenham and work with Mauricio Pochettino.
Sherwood also feels that it was him who gave the next generation of players an opportunity to shine including Kyle Walker and Harry Kane.
He also feels that he is similar to Pochettino as both have a forward-thinking approach and also do provide opportunities for the youth at first-team level.
Under Pochettino, Spurs have undergone tremendous progress and are now arguably one of the best teams in England as was proven by their victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League this season.
Sherwood said, “He has done a really fantastic job and, in hindsight, if I’d have known the way he works and the way he likes to develop young players, which is what I like to do, I could have been tempted into staying there to help him out.”
