Football pundit Jermaine Jenas has heaped praise on Tottenham summer signing Davinson Sanchez for his performance against Arsenal in the Premier League’s North London derby on Saturday.
This comes despite the fact that Spurs ended up losing the game 2-0 through goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez.
Despite his side losing however, Sanchez was one of the few Spurs players who looked good on the day.
The first goal of the game was also marred by controversy as Sanchez appeared to produce a fair tackle on Sanchez though referee Mike Dean opted to award a free-kick which was struck by MesutOzil and scored by Mustafi.
Former Spurs star Jenas who now works as a pundit for BBC took to Twitter to reveal his thoughts on the game.
He Tweeted: “Derby day to forget for @SpursOfficial only positive was the performance of @daosanchez26 what a player.”
Though the game was disappointing for Spurs, it proved that they could have a future star in the making in Sanchez.
