Tottenham youngster Cameron Carter-Vickers could be set to make his international debut for the United States national team during a friendly international against Portugal on 14 November
Carter-Vickers was sent out on a season long loan deal to Sheffield United and he has so far impressed, helping the club to second place on the Championship standings and scoring one goal from 12 appearances in all competitions in the process.
Some reports have even suggested that Spurs could recall him during the January transfer window as a result of the promising form which he has been showcasing.
The United States have named a fairly young and inexperienced squad for their friendly against Portugal which does not include veterans such as Clint Dempsey, Tim Howard and DeMarcus Beasley.
This indicates that they could be aiming to rebuild and identify young talent after the disappointment of failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
