Tottenham handed double injury blow ahead of Palace clash

Hugo Lloris

Tottenham have suffered injury blows ahead of their Premier League clash against bottom of the table Crystal Palace on Sunday as defender Toby Alderweireld and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris are injury doubts for the match.

The 28 year old Alderweireld, who is a first team regular for Spurs, had to be taken off during the North London clubs 3-1 Champions League win over Real Madrid on Wednesday after suffering a hamstring injury.

Club captain Hugo Lloris meanwhile also took a knock after a collision with Sergio Ramos. The Frenchman appeared to be signaling to be replaced, however he ended up carrying on until full-time.

Spurs will be looking to bounce back to winning ways on Sunday following their loss against Manchester United last weekend.

Though Lloris and Alderweireld are key players for the side, they still do have the quality to secure a comfortable victory over Palace if they get the basics right.
