Football pundit Tony Cascarino has said that he believes that Mauricio Pochettino could remain manager of the Tottenham first team for another five years.

The Argentinean boss is now in his fourth year at the helm of Spurs and has a deal with the club that is valid until June 2021.

During his time at Spurs, Pochettino has managed to establish himself as one of the most highly rated managers in World football and has also helped to unearth stars such as Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Harry Winks.

Cascarino believes that Pochettino’s style of management could see him remain manager of the North London club for at least another five years.

He said: “Spurs are the opposite (to Chelsea). They have different ideas and they come from the manager, who is as secure in his role as anybody. You feel that, unless he decides to move on, Mauricio Pochettino could be there for another three or five years.

“He has been able to mould a conveyor belt from the younger levels, making it a cornerstone of what Tottenham are doing. Chelsea, meanwhile, is a conveyor belt for everyone else.”
