Tottenham handed potential boost ahead of Real Madrid clash

According to reports, Real Madrid could be set to be without goalkeeper Keylor Navas for their clash against Tottenham in the Champions League next week.

The shot-stopper picked up an injury while on international duty for Costa Rica and his countries doctors have reportedly suggested that he should spend at least four days resting.

Navas’s native Costa Rica achieved automatic qualification for the 2018 World Cup as they finished off the in second place on the Concacaf region behind only continental heavyweights Mexico.

He is likely to miss Madrid’s game against Getafe on Saturday and would also sit out the game against Spurs on Tuesday.  Madrid will also carry out their own assessment of Navas to determine how long he will be out for.

The 31 year old Kiko Casilla, who is a more than capable goalkeeper, will likely be the man to fill in for Navas during his recovery period.
