Spurs fans mercilessly mock the error of Tottenham man against Dortmund

Tottenham kicked off their Champions League campaign on a high note with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night.

Harry Kane’s brace from either half after Heung-Min Son had opened the scoring on the 4th minute ensured Spurs recorded a much-needed victory in a group H that also has Real Madrid.

The Germans tried to battle their way back, with summer arrival Andriy Yarmolenko netting a screamer to immediately draw Dortmund level after Son’s goal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice, but had his 2nd strike wrongly chalked off for offside, and Spurs definitely could do with some luck going forward.

In a game that saw Jan Vertonghen sent off for a 2nd bookable offence, the North London side could have scored more were they more clinical in their finishing, despite enjoying less possession and completing about half of the passes the visitors completed.

The 2 goalscorers missed some chances, but they could be forgiven as that didn’t hurt their chances and brought up further Wembley-curse talks.

However, Moussa Sissoko could have opened his Spurs account on such a night after -Christian Eriksen put him through with only the goalie to beat.

Unluckily for the £30million man, he could only drag his effort well wide of the post.

As expected, Twitter users passed their verdict on the French international after a not-too-impressive 7-minute cameo, and here are some of the best reactions.
