Tottenham would only let 27-goals-in-34-games forward go if they land a replacement

As per the Daily Star, Crystal Palace have registered an interest in bringing Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen to the Selhurst Park, in order to help under-fire new boss Frank de Boer turn his poor start to life in the Premier League around.

However, Spurs would only agree to an exit for the Netherlands international if they are able to bring in a replacement.

The north Londoners have thus far signed goalie Paulo Gazzaniga and defenders Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth from Southampton, Ajax and Estudiantes respectively, and could still land a forward on Thursday, giving the Eagles hopes of landing Janssen before transfer deadline.

Since arriving for £17million from AZ Alkmaar last summer, the 23-year-old striker has been a complete shadow of the hotshot that fired his way to the top of the Eredivisie goalscoring charts 2 seasons ago.

He scored just twice last term, and has seen action just once this season – a 1-minute cameo during the 2-1 loss at the hands of Chelsea upper weekend.

Spurs are willing to let Janssen off their books, and with talks that they could bring in Demarai Gray from Leicester City late on, his exit seems very possible.

Tottenham have tried all summer to bring in a quality forward capable of proving cover for Harry Kane, and having failed to impress, discarding Janssen might be their best option.
