Tottenham reportedly get late bid from Serie A heavyweights for star defender

As per TMW, Tottenham left-back Danny Rose has emerged as a late target for Serie A giants Juventus, with the Italian powerhouses said to have tabled an opening bid which Spurs will weigh up.

Since his infamous August interview, the England international has been heavily linked with a summer exit, and it appears nothing can be ruled out until the window shuts.

Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with Rose too, and with the two  more realistic next-of-stops than the Turin outfit due to their financial strengths and Premier League statuses, a switch to Italy for the former Leeds United fullback looks impossible.

If the two sides are still interested in making late bids for Rose this summer remains to be seen, but the 27-year-old remains a target for suitors in subsequent transfer windows.

Tottenham rigid wage structure has been a major talking point this summer, and it’s believed they are prone to losing their stars soon if nothing changes on that front.

Rose is currently sidelined and has yet to make an appearance for the LilyWhites this season.

With Spurs experiencing a shaky start to the campaign having won just one of their opening 3 games, manager Mauricio Pochettino would hope Rose’s proposed return next month, should he remain in north London after Thursday deadline, help steady the ship.
