Tottenham reportedly agree personal terms ahead of £23million deal

According to the Sunday Express, Tottenham sealing a move for PSG right-back Serge Aurier is subject to a government approval, although personal terms and a £23million million transfer fee have since been agreed with both player and club.

Aurier, 24, has to have a suspended 2-month prison sentence for assaulting a policeman in France, which has led to a U.K ban, overturned.

An hearing was expected to take place earlier this month to decide the fate of the Ivory Coast international, but a move could now fall through if things don’t get sorted out

Having lost Kyle Walker to Manchester City earlier in the window, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen on replacing the English full-back with the Ligue 1 star.

While Kieran Trippier appears to have established himself as the undisputed Number 1 for the right-back role since Walker’s departure, Aurier’s arrival will further push his talents and performances to the limit.

The former Toulouse star boasts of 10 Ligue 1 goals and 23 assists, and was being closely targeted by Manchester United, Chelsea and the Milan clubs this summer.

Tottenham’s fate all but hang on the law of the lands at the moment, and it would be hoped a decision is reached before the summer transfer window shuts on the last day of the month.
