Sam Gallagher, Southampton’s striker, will probably leave St. Mary’s Stadium and go out on loan once again.
Sky sports news reports that the young player has become a player of interest to several of the Sky Bet Championship clubs.
According to the same source, it seems that Aston Villa, Birmingham, and Derby County are very keen on landing Gallagher.
The 21-year-old had been in very good form during the past season at his stay with the Blackburn Rovers, where he had appeared 47 times and scored 12 goals.
Unfortunately, he is not in the plans of Southampton’s boss Mauricio Pellegrino. Gallagher had been a part of Southampton Youth Academy, and he is at St. Mary’s since 2012.
So far, he has appeared only 18 times for the Saints and scored one goal. In the previous two seasons, he was sent out on loans. During 2015/2016 campaign, the talented striker was at Milton Keynes Dons and one year later, with Blackburn Rovers.
Sam Gallagher had also been a member of English under-20 national team.
