As per The Mirror, Tottenham have been alerted to the availability of Genoa striker and Argentina youth international Giovanni Simeone.

The 22-year-old impressed in his first season on the continent last term, registering 12 Serie A strikes in 35 appearances, and is being widely tipped to earn a call up to the national team senior squad soon.

Simeone, a son of Atletico Madrid’s first-team manager Diego Simeone has attracted the likes of Crystal Palace, Torino and Fiorentina to himself.

Known for his work rate and ability of playing anywhere along the front line, the Genoa forward is an impressive finisher as they come.

The highlight of his campaign last term was his brace in Genoa’s 3–1 win over Serie A leaders, Juventus last November.

Simeone arrived the Serie A club for just £2.7million last August and should be an affordable, yet quality buy for Spurs, although previous claims say he would be available for around £17million.

His versatility also comes handy, and if signed, he could be molded into one of the most fearsome finishers around under the tutelage of his dad’s former international teammate.
