The Daily Mail claims that Tottenham are keeping tabs on the situation of Manchester City starlet and England U-17 international Jadon Sancho after he recently boycotted training.
Having stalled on signing a new contract, City boss Pep Guardiola decided against taking the highly-rated winger to the club’s U.S tour.
That has irked the teenager who is now considering an exit as he doesn’t see a clear path to first-team football under the Catalan.
Tottenham were hoping they could get Sancho to move in the opposite direction during talks over Kyle Walker’s exit to the Etihad.
Spurs aren’t alone in their desires to land Sancho – who emerged as the player of the tournament at the Under-17 European Championships few months ago, though.
Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Arsenal amongst others are also keen on the promising youngster, and it’s not hard to see why.
The youngster’s departure from City will only require a compensation fee, but getting him to snub others and sign for Spurs could be dependent on his chances of first team football and wages.
Jadon Sancho is a star in the making no doubt, and he would be a great addition to the youth ranks at Tottenham if snapped up.
