John Terry has challenged his Aston Villa team-mates to push to win the Championship during the upcoming season.
The 36-year-old Terry is no stranger to winning things, having won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups as well as the Champions League and Europa League with Chelsea.
Due to the veteran’s achievements, he was appointed as the captain of Villa for the upcoming season as is aiming to lead the club back to the Premier League.
There is no doubt that the Villains will not be short of experience as they have added Terry as well as Chris Samba, Glenn Whelan and Ahmed Elmohamady to their ranks this summer.
Terry said of his aims for the club next season, “Should we be winning the league, yes? If not, what are you going to take from there? Nothing, because nothing else is really acceptable, for me as an individual, how I have behaved in recent years. And I think within the group as well.”
