According to reports, West Ham are closing in on a deal to sign young goalkeeper Joseph Anang. The 19-year-old impressed during his trial spell with the Hammers and the club have now offered him a contract.
The Ghana international Anang was given an opportunity to prove his abilities during the West Ham under-23’s match against Dangenham and Redbridge and managed to earn himself a contract with the club which he has accepted.
The player and club are now waiting for international clearance for the move to be finalized. Anang will become Slaven Bilic’s second goalkeeper signing of this summer after England first choice shot-stopper Joe Hart also joined on loan from Manchester City.
The club also lost Darren Randolph, who has signed for Middlesbrough while Adrian continues to be linked with a move to Newcastle.
Anang will be unlikely to feature regularly for the Hammers first team next term and will act as backup to Hart.
