The Sun reports that Southampton are keeping a close eye on Italian side’s Napoli £10m rated midfielder, Allan.
The website reports that the Saints have expressed their interest in bringing the Brazilian international to St. Mary’s and that currently, they are preparing an offer for the team from Naples.
The central midfielder started his European career in 2012 when he joined Udinese. He immediately became one of the irreplaceable parts of the first-team, and during his three-year stay, he has played 116 games, scoring two goals.
At the time, he had received offers from Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, and Chelsea but alas, he decided to stay in Italy and moved to Napoli in 2015.
For two years at San Paolo stadium, the strong midfielder played 80 games and scored 4 goals.
Now, the Saints coach Mauricio Pellegrino wants to land Allan after receiving bids for several of players. If the deal goes through, Southampton, will get a high-quality player who is about to enter his prime years, and who can be a fantastic replacement in case some departures occur.
They will have tough competition to sign the 26-year-old, because West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United are also interested in this player.
