Italy international and Inter Milan star Antonio Candreva has emerged as a summer target for Tottenham as per TransferMarketWeb.
The 30-year-old is also being closely monitored by Chelsea who are ready to make an offer above the €22million Inter spent on his recruitment last summer.
Inter value the former Juventus and Lazio player at reportedly around €27.5million, and given his history of switching clubs often, an exit cannot be ruled out.
Candreva scored 6 goals and laid on 10 others for grateful teammates in the Serie A last season, playing some of the most outstanding football during a disappointing campaign for the club.
The seasoned player can be deployed on both wings as a wing-back, midfielder or forward, and such exquisite versatility will come very handy at Tottenham.
If signed up by the club, Candreva will represent a short-term option able to deliver quality, experience and backup for 2 to 3 seasons at most.
Antonio Conte’s Chelsea however are firmly in the way of the north Londoners for his signature.
