According to an Italian news outlet FCInternews.it, Tottenham are willing to cut ties with Argentina international Erik Lamela, and are holding out £16million for his signature.
Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan are interested in acquiring the services of the 25-year-old but only want to part with £13.4million.
Lamela arrived White Hart Lane for £27million from Roma back in 2013, but his recent injuries woes have seen him lose his spot in Spurs XI.
The winger has been out of action for the past 10 months as a result of a hip injury and subsequent recuperation from its operation.
Lamela is also set to miss out on Tottenham’s EPL curtain raiser next month, and it would take some incredible level of consistent brilliance for him to play regular football at the club in the upcoming season.
There are still 3 years to go on his current contract, but with a Tottenham future that now appears bleak, letting him go to a place where regular playing could help put his career back on track seems perfect.
