Chelsea’s boss, Antonio Conte, is reportedly interested in the Southampton duo of Ryan Bertrand and Cedric Soares, according to Metro.
After Manchester City signed the Brazilian defender Danilo, Bertrand and Soares have become the next targets of the Blues manager.
Ryan Bertrand was sold by Chelsea two years ago, and he landed at St. Mary’s, where he became one of the best players for the Saints. In 72 appearances, Bertrand has scored three goals. Also, the 27-year-old made 14 appearances for the English national team.
Meanwhile, Cedric Soares came from Sporting Lisbon in 2015. During his stay, he has played 54 games and became a regular member of Portuguese national team.
In the previous season, Soares was irreplaceable as one of the best defenders in the entire League.
After Virgil van Dijk has decided to request a transfer, the Saints could find themselves in huge problems. At this moment, almost the whole starting defensive line has offers to leave the club, and it will be hard to keep them at St. Mary’s.
